Why bother getting a BELBIN report for myself or any of my staff?

What's that? You are not quite sure what the point of getting a BELBIN report is?

Let me try to explain why you might be tempted......

Here at Belbin we have a language for talking about useful behavioural contributions people can make. Nine different clusters have been identified. I know there are many tests out there that group people into different types. Are you a blue one or a red one? Are you an extrovert or an introvert? Belbin Team Roles are nothing to do with that. We are not looking at people's personality, but the type of work to which people are most suited, based on their actual behaviour.

The language of Team Roles has been used for years by international conglomerates around the world, by lecturers teaching management and by teams or departments in small companies who are about to start working together.

In fact millions of people have taken this language on board in the work environment. Why? So that they can then understand themselves and the people they work with better. And by doing so, they are able to be more effective in determining who should do what and how to become better at what they already have a propensity for.

And remember it is not just about working out which type someone is, but - What combination are they? What are the implications arise from the differences of how they see themselves and how other people see them? How can they become a better example of the type? What kind of things should they watch out for?

The Belbin Team Role reports will identify and help with all of this. Go online to find out more at www.belbin.com
